It is the most mainstream application mode for operators to apply POE technology to Ethernet switch and provide remote intelligent power supply. A complete POE system includes two parts: Power Souring Equipment (PSE) and Power Device (PD). PSE equipment supplies power to the Ethernet terminal equipment, and is also the manager of the whole POE Ethernet power supply process. The PD equipment receives the PSE load of power supply. Based on IEEE802.3af standard, the connection situation and equipment type of the receiving terminal device PD are established between PSE and PD devices. PSE supplies power to PD through Ethernet. POE switching opportunity automatically detects the PD devices, and decides whether the power distribution of the device is optimal or not according to the current power supply port priority configuration and port power configuration. In the first step, while providing data transmission, the intelligent power supply for the PD device can solve the problem of wiring and centralized management to a great extent.
(3) In recent years, with the construction of PON access network for major operators, equipment manufacturers have proposed to integrate POE functions into ONU devices, and introduced ONU supporting POE functions. Although ONU is highly integrated and the solution network level is concise, due to its late launch, fewer supporting vendors, higher price and less consumption in the deployment of operators, its environmental adaptability and AP compatibility need to be fully verified in practical applications.
